Winterized the 335i

Finally got my winter setup all mounted up.

I purchased the wheels used and had them powdercoated in Gloss Black by Billy in Jersey City NJ. He does a great job for an excellent price. Price was $300 for a set of 4 wheels, this is the second set of wheels he has done for me and provides a quick turn around time and an excellent quality product.

I purchased the TPMS brand new from an ebay seller, cost was $312 shipped not bad compared to some of the other vendors pricing. The new model tpms is more expensive for some reason!

Finally I purchased the tires from tire rack, the 225/45/17 Dunlop Winter Sport 3D tires. They have a good value for the price and are rated 2nd in terms of snow performance.

I had the tires mounted by Performance Wheel and Tires in Ridgewood NJ, they do an awesome job. No scratches on any of the wheels, they really know how to handle them. I highly recommend them.

Fall Photos / New Lip Spoiler

This is the M3 style rear lip spoiler from JBSpeed. Fitment and paint match was perfect, very pleased with this piece.

Im still loving the car, not sure what I plan to do next with it though, Im very content with how it performs, and the overall look is perfect. It could use a drop, just not sure I am ready for the commitment now.

I recently de-badged the car and added the painted reflectors. Im still waiting on the e90 lci m3 style rear lip spoiler to come in. Definitely will have some photos to share.

The weather was perfect today and I couldnt resist but to wash the car. This was my first hand wash since accepting the car back in the states. I had order some einszett glanz wax and wanted to try it out. Prior to adding the wax I polished with menzerna. The final outcome was stunning, the Le Mans blue really pops, I am totally in love with this color.

I took my nikon 10-24mm lens out and took some photos at a near by industrial park.

Back home in the US – NYC Shoot

Finally had a chance to take the car out for a proper photo shoot. While I was dropping off the lady in Edgewater, I brought the car down to Weehawken for a few photos.

I used my 50mm 1.8 lens for this shoot.

JL Motoring Replica BMW Performance Parts

I searched high and low for a quality splitter and mostly everything led to JL motoring as having the best replica product. Im usually skeptical of replica products due to quality and fitment inconsistencies, but I decide to give them a shot. They gave me a great price and shipped out the Replica BMW Performance Splitters right away.

Once it came in I could see why they have one of the most expensive replica pieces. The fitment was very good during the test fit procedure, the weave is perfect, and overall I did not find anything wrong with it. I am very picky when it comes to the fine details, and this product left me satisfied after a quick pre-fitting.

I cleaned the insides of the splitters with alcohol and attached double sided tape to the splitter. I cut out some thin strips of the 3M mounting tape, and made little “draw strings” to peel off the tape while the splitters where installed. This method worked out perfectly!

Mission Complete!

The car has finally arrived at the dealership on the 18th of September, it is going to be ready for pick up today, the 20th. Im so excited and I am very pleased with the transit time. I have been reading how there have been serious delays for the ED customers due to customs and other issues.

I dropped off my car on the 19th of August at Bremerhaven. The Toreador Vessel departed 1 week later, it was on the water for about 2 weeks, and then it took another week in customs/VPC. BMW of Bloomfield is very close to the port so it had arrived on the truck very quickly!

1 month from drop off in Germany to pick up in the US is great! I will report back later!
